Don't Miss This One For the past few weeks I've been reminding you to mark you calendar for this month's open mic at the Old Firehouse in Avon Lake. Each month, on the second Thursday, I host the event that has been growing in popularity among musicians and folks who like live music. The reasons for the growth are pretty easy to see. The venue is comfortable, the program is family friendly, there's lots of parking, we provide free coffee and we get some of the best acts in the area to come and play every month. On Thursday (3/14) we'll be presenting anitakeys along with Ryann "Bassman" Anderson for a half hour feature set from 7:30 to 8PM. Known through out the area for her beautiful piano styling and vocals, anitakeys is a pleasure to hear on her own. When she is joined on bass by Ryann, the duo is one of the best you're going to hear in our area. On Thursday you get to hear them for free if you make it out to the show.
